Why do we have a uniform?

There are many sound, practical reasons for having a compulsory uniform. Perhaps the most obvious reason is that it removes the burden of having to decide what to wear each day.  More importantly, however, our uniform has a great deal to do with Trinity Academy’s ethos.  Students are encouraged to take pride in themselves and their appearance at all times.  Parents are asked to give their vital support in maintaining the very high standards by adhering to the lists set out in the link below.  Therefore, we have set up the uniform shop to provide a service to families to ensure uniform is consistent and cost effective.  Some items of uniform will need to be purchased from the uniform shop to ensure consistency across the Academy.  For more details please consult the Uniform Policy which can be downloaded by clicking on the link below.

The Uniform Shop is now online and products may be ordered either for “click and collect” at the Academy (no additional charge) or for home delivery (delivery charge applies). You can access the online shop by clicking here.

Buying and Selling “Grown Out Of” Uniform

“Grown Out Of It” is a new, direct parent-to-parent online marketplace for Trinity Academy where good-quality preloved and/or unwanted uniform, footwear and text books may be bought and sold.

Trinity Academy has its own dedicated page so items listed by other Trinity Academy  parents/carers are easy to find

  • Sellers can choose to either set their own price or list items for free
  • Listings/purchases are commission-free – just a small PayPal fee applies for online payments
  • Payment can either be online (preferred) or by cash on collection
  • Purchases remain confidential between the buyer and seller
  • You can even choose to donate part or all of the proceeds to the Academy – these funds will help us assist those families that need it most
  •  It’s also easy to use and a great way to minimise waste

If you don’t want to use this new service but have good-quality uniform and text books that can be reused, please consider donating these directly to Trinity Academy for further use.  Alternatively uniform may be donated to (and obtained from) “Thorne and Moorends School Uniform Bank” whose details may be found via Facebook.  Other options for buying and selling preloved uniforms are available.  Please keep in mind that this is a new service so the number of items available to begin with will be low.
