Breakfast Club Information
Trinity Academy has continued their work with the charity Magic Breakfast and Kellogg’s to further ensure that students at the academy are receiving everything they need to thrive in education.
Magic Breakfast is a charitable scheme that ensures no child is too hungry to learn through the provision of healthy breakfast food and expert support to schools. Research proves that a hungry child cannot concentrate and so will miss out vital learning each day. We all know how important fuelling our bodies is; and that this in turn leads to better concentration levels. Kellogg’s has provided the academy with a grant in which to purchase breakfast food for our students. We have done so and will continue this academic year.
Served by members of teaching staff, all students continue to be entitled to a free healthy breakfast if they arrive at the academy between 8am and 8.20am, meaning that no child in the academy will be without the necessary tools to start the day.

Cashless Meal System
Every student has a meal account and their own finger scan ID, which is secure and private. Money must be credited to the student's account before any purchases can be made. Where students qualify for free school meals the appropriate amount is credited automatically each day. Money can be credited to a student's account via ParentPay or a cheque made payable to 'Emmanuel Schools Foundation'
Free School Meals
Free School Meals means that your son or daughter will get a free meal to the value of £2.60 every day (September 2024), the allowance will not be credited to their account until 11:30am. It also means that we get extra money for the school to support your son or daughter’s learning, progress and achievement.
Requirements (as per the DMBC Website)
- Universal Credit – your annual net earned income must be no more than £7,400, as assessed by earnings from up to 3 of your most recent assessment periods
- Income Support
- Income-based Jobseekers allowance
- Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
- Child Tax Credit but not Working Tax Credit and your annual income is below £16,190 (as worked out by HM Revenue & Customs)
- Guarantee element of State Pension Credit
- Support under part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
- Parents receiving Working Tax Credit for four weeks after their employment finishes are entitled to free school meals during that period. This also applies to parents who start working less than 16 hours per week
